cause I know you missed seeing my laundry...

Since we moved and our new neighborhood has a h.o.a., there have been no laundry lines for me. So sad.
But look what I found yesterday that fits so nicely on my porch, out of view of those who might think it unsightly (though it's so cute, I can't imagine how anyone would think that) - it's the mother of all clothes horses. It huge! I couldn't help but admire my dish towels and cloth napkins this morning. So pretty.

that h.o.a thing is the unsightly rule thing, right? i used to love seeing laundry lines as a kid. they've all disappeared. you'd think with everyone going green, they'd come back...

i love your new dryer. it looks perfect and i'd totally want to see it-- especially with huge yards of fabric all drying up for sewing. YUM.

I found it at an antique shop, but if you are looking for something like it, try Ikea next time you are in P-town.

And Oona, I'm itching to start some sewing projects for myself - once this baby is born and I get a regular shape back, of course. So yards of fabric will hopefully be coming soon.

So sad about not being able to line dry your laundry. I just love the smell of clothes off the line.

Alison, I feel the same way - I really love drying clothes on the line. Just the look of it is so comforting to me. I have fond memories of clothes on the line at grandmas and my mom drying sheets outside when I was very litte and thinking she had made a tent just for me. The great thing about this clothes horse is that it definately can look like a tent when covered, so the boys already think its a new toy for them ;)
